Volumetric Belt Feeder

Web Tech AutoWeigh manufacturers a range of volumetric belt feeders which can be used in applications where screw feeders may not be the best solution. Products that can be compressed, can be easily damaged, or are abrasive may be better suited to a belt feeder. A volumetric belt feeder can provide an accurate rate of material feed for powders and pellets and other material types. The rate of material feed can be controlled by varying the speed of the belt to a predetermined speed by means of a variable speed drive.

Available in mild steel or stainless steel construction, standard belt widths are 300mm, 450mm, 600mm, 750mm, 900mm and 1200mm. Standard lengths (pulley centres) are 800mm, 1250mm and 2100mm. Custom lengths can be designed to suit customer requirements. Typical capacities range from 0.01m3 to 150m3 per hour. Belt feeders are fitted with shaft mount gearmotors, belt scrapers and automatic belt tensioners as standard.

The volumetric belt feeders can be supplied with a variety of feed hoppers and support frames designed to suit the application. Hoppers can be fitted with optional feed devices such as vibratory feeders for difficult to handle materials.
